Shelli Clift, Director

Mrs. Clift is the preschool Director for Capital Christian Schools. She has worked with preschool and elementary children since 1992. She started with CCS as the Assistant to the Director in 2002. Shelli received her AA with an emphasis in Early Childhood and her BA in Organizational Management. Her desire to work with young children is based on Psalm 1:1-3, "... And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers."


Lisa Long, Assistant Director

Mrs. Long is the preschool Assistant Director for Capital Christian Schools. She has worked with preschool children since 1994. She started at CCS as a teacher in 2000. Lisa earned her AA in Early Childhood Education and her BA in Social Work at California State University, Sacramento. Lisa is active in her church and oversees her church’s in-service and prayer chain ministries. She is married and has two children who attend CCS.

Administrative Assistant

Kim Landziak

Mrs. Landziak and her husband are CCS graduates. She began working at CCS in 2003. She has one child in elementary and one in preschool. She is continuing in her early childhood education classes. She "enjoys watching the children blossom and getting to see just a glimpse of who God has created them to be." She actively sings in her church's worship team.


Chelsea Bansuelo

Mrs. Bansuelo is an alumni of CCS. She is married and has two children enrolled at CCS. Mrs. Bansuelo feels blessed with the opportunity to be placed at CCS to help make an impact on the lives of the children and to see them grow in the Lord..


Amy Deguara

Mrs. Deguara teaches a 3+ class. She has a Bible Degree and a preschool certificate. Her husband is the Associate Pastor at New Life Community Church and she serves in Women's Ministries. They have two children.


Carrie Dingler

Mrs. Dingler is an alumni of CCS. She has studied in the area of Early Childhood Education and is working towards her Associates degree. She has worked in the CCC nursery and as a substitute in the preschool for many years. Mrs. Dingler has three children at CCS.


Tina Drenth

Mrs. Drenth is a CCS alumni. She has completed an AA in Early Childhood Education and has worked with children for 19 years. She has worked with children with special needs and has also coached sports for the Special Olympics. She is married to her high school sweetheart. They have two sons. One graduated CCS in 2013 and the other is in 8th grade. She loves, "to see the smiles and excitement on a child's face when they learn something for the first time." She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.


Marlene Duncan

Mrs. Duncan has achieved an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching preschool for the past 7 years. She "delights in helping children learn and develop socially." Mr. and Mrs. Duncan teach a couples' Bible study and marriage seminars through their church. She enjoys playing golf and spending time with her five adult children and three grandchildren.

Shanthi Ebenezer

Mrs. Ebenezer teaches a 3+ class. She holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Chennai, India. She is currently working toward an AA in Child Development from Los Rios Community College. Shanti is actively involved in Bible Study Fellowship as a leader for the Junior High program. She and her husband lead an Indian Fellowship group and mobilize prayer for the United States and India. They have three children, two attend CCS and their eldest is a CCS graduate.


Lina Fleifel

Mrs. Fleifel is a pre-kindergarten afternoon teacher and has been teaching at Capital Christian Preschool since 1986. She holds an AA in Early Childhood Education from Sacramento City College. Lina loves to cook, and she and her husband own the Orient Bakery in Sacramento. She believes that God called her to teach young children when she was a teenager, and that they are a gift from God. She has two children who attend CCS.

Norma Garcia

Norma Garcia

Mrs. Garcia has a background in performing arts and teaching Spanish to young children. She has been employed at Capital Christian since 2006. "It's truly a blessing to see children grow in the ways of the Lord." Norma is married and has three adult children and four grandchildren.


Hope Garrett

Mrs. Garrett teaches a 2+ class. She has worked in the nursery for Capital Christian Center and in the preschool department since 2007. She serves in the ministry of Celebrate Recovery and is a student in Bible Study Fellowship. Hope is married and has three children.


DNae Henderson

Ms. Henderson has attained an AA in Administration of Justice. She is currently finishing a BA in Psychology to transfer to a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. She has worked with young children for 6 years and has experience in the field of human resources. She has a son who is 16 years old. Ms. Henderson enjoys reading, and spending time with her son and his band group. She has participated in World Vision building events and musicals at her church. She enjoys the "light bulb" moments with her preschoolers.


Laura Jacobs

Miss Jacobs teaches computers and is an afternoon teacher in a 3+ class. She earned her BA in Intercultural Studies and Theology from William Jessup University. She loves to travel and has served on the mission field in Jamaica, Africa and India. Laura is a CCS alumni.


Sarah Jelicich

Miss Jelicich has her AA in biblical studies and her ministers license. She attended school at CCS and began working here in 2009. Miss Jelicich enjoys "seeing the kids' faces light up as they grow spiritually and academically".


Dyann Karelas

Mrs. Karelas teaches a 3+ class. She has been teaching since 2007. Dyann has also been a licensed daycare provider. She is married and has two children.


Amber Leslie

“I enjoy providing an atmosphere wherein each child can experience the qualities of love through me and Jesus Christ.” Mrs. Leslie has been working in early education since 1992 in both public and private preschools. She has a son and a daughter. Her heart is teaching God’s Word to children, and she enjoys camping, fishing, swimming and church retreats.


Katy Maestas

Mrs. Maestas teaches pre-kindergarten. She earned her BA in Liberal Studies from California State University, Sacramento, and has an MA in Elementary Education. She currently holds a California State Teaching Credential with a Multiple Subject Endorsement. Katy is married and has two children who attend CCS.


Arnell Martinez

Mrs. Martinez teaches pre-kindergarten and serves as the afternoon coordinator. She has her AA in Early Childhood Education and a Master Teacher Permit. Arnell is married and has four grown children and five grandchildren.


Becky Pochop

Mrs. Pochop has an A.A. degree.  “It’s amazing how much these little minds can absorb. It’s a privilege to help train them in the knowledge of the Lord.” Mrs. Pochop and her husband have five children and eight grandchildren. She enjoys needle crafts, reading, and serving in her church’s children’s ministry.


Katherine Powell

Ms. Powell has achieved an AA and a BA in Early Childhood Development. She has worked with children for over twenty years. She loves, "teaching young children because they are so precious, excited about life, and innocent." she has five adult children and is blessed to have eight grandchildren, so far. Ms. Powell is very involved in her church children's, women's, and disabilities ministries. She enjoys kayaking, reading, writing, good movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Lisa Quiroz

Mrs. Quiroz has accomplished an AA in Ministerial Studies, a BS in Counseling Psychology and a Master of Arts in Human Services with an emphasis in marriage and family. She was the director for the Master's Commission program at her church for nine years. She has substituted in the various departments of CCS. She and her husband of 15 years have three children, all of which attend CCS. She loves to go to the beach and spend time with her family. She enjoys, "seeing the children's faces when she talks to them about the love of Jesus."

Sandra Sams

Mrs. Sams teaches pre-kindergarten. She holds Master Teacher Permit from the State of California. She plans to pursue her BA in Child Development. She serves as a board member, worship leader, Sunday school teacher and co-director at the Sacramento Dream Center.


Lynette Yoes

Mrs. Yoes has an AA in Early Childhood Education. She has experience as a preschool teacher, children's ministry director, and a health assistant. She and her husband have one son who began high school this year. She is involved in the preschool Sunday school program and women's Bible studies at her church. She "enjoys getting to know the children and seeing God through their eyes."
