Capital Christian Middle School is a Christian school with a discipleship emphasis for students with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The administration, faculty and staff strive to maintain a partnership with parents regarding the standards and criteria of a Christian learning structure that involves the entire family.
Chapel
Middle School Chapel is a time set aside each Thursday morning for students to come together to praise and worship the Lord and to learn about Him. Through chapels, students learn to apply God’s word and Christian principles to the everyday realities of life, including peer pressure, self-esteem and family conflict. Worship is led by middle school students from the Worship Band Class. Speakers include local pastors, Christian leaders in the Sacramento community, staff members and CCS alumni.
Bible Classes
Bible is a required course for all middle school students. In all three middle school grades, the course emphasizes that the Bible is the word of God, it is authoritative, it is inherent and it is held as the foundational source of truth and knowledge. Teachers foster spiritual growth through the disciplines of study, memorization and life application.
Spiritual Emphasis Week
Spiritual Emphasis Week is a special chapel time scheduled each semester to “break up the fallow ground” and “to seek the Lord” (Hosea 10:12). These are times of spiritual renewal as well as time to hear from God. These two weeks are usually the highlight of the school year, and a time of anticipation and expectation for students and faculty.
Student Prayer Group
Students meet weekly to pray for the needs of their classmates, their school, their country and each other. Although this is a student-led group, adult advisors are in place to teach and to model intercessory prayer. The team is open to all middle school students and staff.
Student Worship Team
The purpose of the CCMS Student Worship Team is to lead the middle school students in worship, praise and singing at weekly chapels. The team is made up of middle school students who are enrolled in the Middle School Band Bible class. These students desire to grow in their Christian walk and to use their talents and abilities to lead worship.
