College Fairs – College Fairs are a perfect opportunity for you to visit with college representatives, ask questions and pickup college information. These fairs are typically held in the fall at area high schools. CCHS hosts “College Day” in September where traditionally 25 Christian colleges are represented, allowing students the opportunity to attend.
Visiting Colleges – Fall and spring are prime times for students and parents to explore colleges. Many colleges offer visitation days and/or weekends for prospective students to “try out” a campus. The admission staff plans activities for students, including attending events and classes, setting up campus tours, and organizing financial aid meetings or seminars. It is a great benefit to see a college alive with students and activities to determine if it is a good fit for you.
Summer Programs – Many colleges offer summer programs on their campuses for high school juniors. These opportunities provide experience at the college while living there, attending classes and interacting with professors. It is beneficial for students to take advantage of these offerings and to possibly earn early college credit.
