RACHAEL WELLS JOINS CAPITAL CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL AS HEAD CROSS COUNTRY COACH

Sacramento, CA., June 20, 2017 – Capital Christian High School is pleased to welcome Rachael Wells to the Capital coaching staff. Rachael will be joining us as Head Cross Country coach; replacing Coach John Malinowski, who is relocating to North Carolina; and Coach Denis Jordan, who will be teaching at Folsom Lake College.

Rachael joins Capital with a long history of soccer and collegiate-level cross country. After completing a BS from UC Davis in Managerial Economics and MBA from Sacramento State, Rachael feels called to use her gift of running and passion for Jesus to honor God.

"When the call came to possibly coach Cross Country at CCHS, I knew with certainty that this is where God was calling me to serve him through my running. I am so excited to answer this call and come on board to coach these student athletes. I am equally excited to walk alongside them on their faith walk."

Rachael, her husband Carter and their four children, Courtlyn, 12, Ainsley "Beckham", 11, Jobiah, 6 and Londyn, 5 live in Folsom and have attended Lakeside church since 2001. She looks forward to getting to know each Cross Country athlete and their families.

Following the tournament, golfers enjoyed a tasty lunch and refreshments during the award ceremony and raffle.

CAPITAL CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL HIRES MCCALL WOLLMAN AS HEAD BOYS BASKETBALL COACH

SACRAMENTO, CA - After a long process of sorting and interviewing Capital Christian HS is excited to welcome McCall Wollman to the CCS family. We are very thankful for the many qualified coaches who applied for our Head Boys Basketball coaching position. Coach McCall comes to us from the storied St. Anthony HS in New Jersey, they have regularly been in the top 10 in the nation. Coach McCall has also been one of the top player development trainers in the NYC area and Top 50 in the country with the company CoachUp, part owned by Steph Curry. St. Anthony's unfortunately is closing and Coach McCall was looking to relocate to California to be closer to family. He has been under the tutelage of Hall of Fame Coach Bob Hurley Sr. for three years and brings many qualities to build on an already excellent foundation.

Coach McCall has a great understanding of the game. He also understands the 'college prep' environment, is organized, and ready to lead this program. With all of his game knowledge, experience in the recruiting process, and strong work ethic along with the importance of his faith and family make him a great fit with the Capital Christian community.

Through the process it was evident that basketball is his platform to build character and develop student athletes not only in skill but also in their relationship with Christ both on and off the court.
