Parent Information Nights

Kindergarten Open House

A kindergarten Open House is held in the spring for parents and students who will be entering kindergarten the following fall. Kindergarten Open House is a time for parents to meet the kindergarten teachers, see classrooms, view curriculum and receive information on our kindergarten program. Your student(s) has an opportunity to participate in a special kindergarten activity during the event.

Middle School

When students move from Elementary to Middle School, an informational night is held for prospective 5th grade parents. This is an informal evening in which parents can meet Middle School administration and learn about the program and schedule. This evening is then followed by a 5th Grade Shadow Day where 5th graders follow MS students’ schedules and participate as MS students for a day. Our 5th grade Parent Night will be held January 28, 2010, followed by our 5th Grade Shadow Day on February 26, 2010.

Each grade level has a class trip in Middle School. Informational meetings are held for parents at each grade level.

  • Our 6th grade class trip is to Hume Lake. The Hume Lake parent meeting is September 17, 2009.
  • The 7th grade class retreat is at Jeness Park. The parent meeting for the 7th grade retreat is held September 29, 2009.
  • The 8th grade class trip is to the historical triangle and Washington D.C. The parent meeting for this trip is September 15, 2009.

High School

8th Grade Parent Night
On January 11th at 7:00pm, all eighth grade parents are invited to an informational meeting in the Capital Christian High School Atrium. This meeting is an opportunity for you to meet the administrative staff of CCHS and to learn about the many academic, spiritual, athletic and social opportunities that will be available to your student at CCHS. Many important details are presented regarding required courses, course selection, new student orientation, etc. There will also be a time provided for you to ask specific questions about your student's upcoming high school experience.

11th Grade Parent Night
On February 22nd at 7:00pm, all parents of eleventh grade students are encouraged to attend an informational meeting in the Capital Christian High School Atrium. During this session, you will be given an overview of what to expect during your student's senior year at CCHS. Important deadlines and dates will be reviewed and discussed. You won't want to miss this opportunity to make sure you make the most of your student's senior year.

11th Grade Parent Coffees
Please check the CCHS newsletters for the dates and times of the coffee informational sessions that are offered to parents of juniors. Our College and Career Director plans and implements these sessions for junior parents. You will learn about the financial aid process for college, important application submission dates and testing schedules for college entrance. These sessions are designed to accommodate 10 to 12 parents at a time, affording the opportunity for individual questions you may have about your student and college.
